About Santas Angels
Our Mission
Spreading the spirit of giving and bringing joy to families across Prince Edward Island during the holiday season.
Santa’s Angels is a 100% volunteer-based group that hopes to support those who, for various reasons, are unable to provide Christmas gifts and food for their loved ones — especially the children.
Santa and the elves bring food, toys, and gifts on Christmas morning, each package is customised based upon the needs of the individual or family to help alleviate some of the hardships faced by our community members.
Our Story
It all started in 2004 when Father Stephen Allen, Kenny Zakem and Don Wright had found themselves with a handful of leftover toys from some past donations. They decided to put those toys in the hands of those that may need them the most, who maybe couldn’t afford Christmas gifts of their own, or those that just needed a little bit of hope this time of year. So, they set out early Christmas morning in 2004 to play Santa and personally distribute these toys across town.
They received so much joy and gratitude in return that they decided to make this an annual event and spread as much happiness and hope as they could, every Christmas morning every year from then on… And just like that, Santa’s Angels was born.
Families helped in 2024
Over the years, we’ve expanded our reach to cover hundreds of homes island-wide, all thanks to the unwavering dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of donors.
Our journey is fuelled by the stories of joy we’ve created. From the smiles of children unwrapping toys to the relief of parents receiving essential food items. We’re truly blessed to be part of a province like ours.
